Diet and Heaven

You can’t eat yourself into Heaven.

While cooking together, my friend Mareike and I were talking about various diets and eating habits today.

I told her about one particularly healthy sanitarium where you don’t get anything to drink with your food because this is considered to be extremely unhealthy. I added that the staff there exude the attitude that you should have been dead a long time ago considering the sins you commit by not eating and drinking the way they strongly suggest.

She then used the above quote, but couldn’t quite remember who it was from. She thought it might have been Yogananda.
