I was blue in my dream, like an Indian god, but my headdress was Mayan, and I was kissing a reluctant sun whose serrations were cutting into me. Treacherous heavenly body! I, come out of brown clay, was burning, my love, my devotion, my passion seared and blown away in flame and smoke. There’s love left, sprung from clay, wind-swept but sturdy, intimate and ethereal, and the little one is beside me, skirted, dark, veiled and full of promise.

good to see
I like the way you see yourself in the picture and how this must be a dream.
sweet! killer last line.
Perfect ending to a almost perfect kiss!
“…..and the little one is beside me, skirted, dark, veiled and full of promise.”

I love the passion and darkness of this, really sensual and earthy. Wish I’d written it in fact!
this is lovely, wonderful atmosphere to it
Wonderful interpretation of the painting… 🙂
Your words match perfectly with the painting! Mayan fascinates me!
A lovely piece of opposites– I really like the contrast of wind-swept and sturdy.
beautiful blue filled with promise… the colors and emotion were dancing between the words… really like yr response to the painting…
A true investigation of a dream in the form of a prose poem. You entered the painting as if it were your own, and made it yours. A great way to explore the creative mind.
wonderful post! I loved the concept!
love this organic-like, humble, sincere but burning passion! the air has much more life than life forms!
there is just fit in the perfect.
