A letter with the letter L

Today I received a letter
with the letter L for love

I’d prayed for this letter
I opened it with trembling hands

It said, “Nothing is lost
You’ve been in the valley of tears

You will now climb the mountain sides
Not a single tear was for naught

None of your love was for naught”

  1. Me a writer? says:

Fingers crossed! I have gone for L for lunch, loneliness and absent love. The lonely wear masks

  2. So, it’s onwards and upwards! A nice piece.

  3. Dee says:

oh this is lovely and so hopeful 🙂

  4. Old Egg says:

I don’t think that love is ever for naught. It is either appreciated or not by the receiver. For the giver it is the same regardless. Great poem.
