Not much good recent news for Mother Earth, I’m afraid. In particular, she’s getting impregnated with shells, mines and dead bodies in Ukraine, and the rest is no better: deforestation, CO2, plastic all over, toxic waste. Thank God some people are planting trees somewhere … in a feeble attempt to counteract it all.

Maybe that’s not pessimism or cynicism but a realistic view of what’s happening.
Yours is a message that must be heard.
Not pessimism, i am afraid, but a realistic look at the current dire situation. And the question is, have we pass the tipping point, the point of no return? I really hope not, that Mother Earth can heal herself, with the world knowing that there is only one Earth.
The prognosis does not look good. Dire situation with the Ukraine and global warming….could be Sayonara time !
Pessimistic? Yes. But at least you are aware of the situation, while so many others pretend that all is well.
Not pessimistic but realistic. We must acknowledge the harm being done to our Green Mother. If we don’t, how else will we start getting better?

I think there are many people doing things to try and counteract it – but we don’t have the power, wealth and resources of the greedy and short-sighted who are intent on continuing the destruction.

I would hope that ~10,000 trees that I’ve planted the last 45 years is not a feeble attempt but I understand where you are.
